April, 2006.
Demos moved to our new Windows 2003 dedicated server.
Microsoft English Query is reportedly being retired, English Wizard has long been mothballed, but we're still here. And yes, ELF still works under .Net, still works with the latest versions of every available database, and is still affordable enough for an individual to purchase -- you don't need to be a Fortune 500 company to have the world's best natural language interface.

Access ELF XP is released!
After a bit of a delay, Access ELF XP is proudly being released to the Access ELF user community.
Our first new release in over two years, Access ELF XP represents a huge leap forward -- in natural
language technology, in user interface features, and perhaps most importantly, in a new and very
liberal licensing approach.
As a registered user, your license key will unlock all features of the software.
You're also free to distribute any natural language interfaces you create,
along with your databases, to anyone you choose.
Please see our Redistribution Policy or download full documentation of Access ELF XP.
We'd like to sincerely thank all the users and beta-testers who contributed so many ideas and
so much energy toward helping us improve this product.
Access ELF 2002 is also referred to as Access ELF XP.
This version of Access ELF can be used with
Microsoft Access 2002 (also called Access 10.0 or Access XP).
Microsoft Access 2000
Access ELF 2002 is fully backward-compatible with Microsoft Access 2000.
Neither Microsoft Access XP nor Access ELF XP require the
Microsoft Windows XP operating system. They can be used on
any of these Windows systems:
Windows 95, 98, Millennium Edition, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Technology agreement signed with ActiveIntranet plc.
Innovative British technology company acquires exclusive rights to the ELF linguistic technologies for a period of three years.
This agreement allows us to continue to support our established user community, while working to embed our technologies in the ActiveIntranet product suite. Close cooperation between the two companies, and the formation of a new corporation, AI Research, are expected to lead to further OEM partnerships and technology agreements.

VB ELF 2.0 is released...
...just possibly, changing forever the way you'll get information from your database.
Of course, the big news is that we now support the latest data access technology from Microsoft, the OLE DB standard. That means you can now use VB ELF directly with enterprise database systems like SQL Server 7.0 and Oracle, without passing information through the Jet Engine. In other words, we've finally lived up to our promise to provide a complete natural language solution that works effectively with every database configuration, from desktop, to client-server, to Web-based data distribution.
Our latest innovations were demo'd at the 1st Annual TechTALKS Forum in Boston.
VB ELF 2.0 can generate two versions of Jet SQL syntax (Access 97/Access 2000), as well as Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 T-SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL. You can also easily connect to other DBMS like Sybase SQL Anywhere. Using the MS OLE DB Provider for ODBC
(or any of the native OLE DB Providers) you'll have instant English-to-SQL translations with all the efficiency of client-server systems. If you like, use our translator for handling Web queries from your customers and contacts all over the world -- adding the "ELF Web Object" can be as simple as pasting a few lines of code into an ASP page. And now you can "put your users through" to the databases truly running the organization, Oracle, SQL Server and more.

Access ELF 97 version 3.0 update.
Access ELF 2000 for Microsoft Office 2000 released!
What's up with the new versions? Scripting!
Now you can trigger a VBScript or JScript applet off any word or phrase typed by your users. Customization of your ELF interfaces can be fine-tuned to any degree of accuracy in this way. Early adopters say it will revolutionize natural language query systems.
